I know these photos were taken a while ago but does Renmark house fleet 121? I think it's a Volvo F7?

121 was a regional spare at Renmark for a while whilst the tanker was getting some work done to it. Will be going to salvage soon and be replaced in the spare fleet by and FL7.

Don't really see the point of a station doing 160-170 calls per year becoming full time. If they were to make Renmark full time then they would have to seriously consider Port Lincoln full time.

your on the money with a couple of those!
After complete cockups in the last couple of years, locals have pressed :-D for better equipped and trained options.
Why do you think they would spend millions of dollars on spnakin new stations and appliances?

Cock ups, care to share, you do realise that half the time you only end up with day crew, or a single crew, so only thing being improved is a quicker 1 truck response during the day.

As for Renmark getting a fulltime crew.....maybe after a dozen other stations get fulltime crews first.

Similar to Seaford where a powerful entity got into the local community groups to stir up...lessons learnt will hopefully make people wary & think twice for that to happen again...but anything can happen when EB's are being negotiated.

My personal opinion only & I live near that station....in answer to your question... PURE POLITICS

Review of 'Standards of Fire Cover' has highlighted a number of issues including the areas mentioned previously.
Thought some of you were in the 'Know', apparently not.

When do they respond the tanker and 6114? Do they respond to most incidents or are they there to respond to major incidents?

What they would like and reality are 2 different things, if they are going to staff those stations then what about the likes of whyalla and berri who struggle to get even 1 truck on the road in under 10 mins and rarely the second, or what about the joke of a setup at pt pirie, single pump house fire responses!

It's only worth staffing if it's fashionable and in the political spotlight.

Renmark hasn't had a call in the last four days. That pretty much speaks for its self! You sit in a station from 8:30am to 4pm each day for the last four days. What are going to do? Not much. I totally agree with Pumprescue about "It's only worth staffing if it's fashionable and in the political spotlight"
