Vertical rescue at Stirling

(1/3) > >>

bajdas:
I have seen the Channel10 news footage of the Rescue of a 60yr old male person from the water tank. He was working on the SA Water tank roof when he fell in. The water tank was empty.

Great to see SES and CFS working together. The news report stated 20 personnel at the scene.

From the footage I could see a ladder derick formed against the concrete side of the tank. The rope fed through pulleys to the hauling crew which included other bystanders.

and MFS.

Heavy Rescue:
Interesting to see a SES State Rescue Officer standing on the top of the ladder without any PPE or even gloves on. Only a tabard and a helmet, setting a great example there boss.

Apart from that it looked like a good effort by those involved, even though it was a pretty shitty job.

Were MFS there with one of the Bronto`s???
