SAAS response
« on: February 07, 2008, 10:17:25 AM »
Just wondering about all of this :? :?

10:45:57 07-02-08   PN81 Cat2 23 Arthur St, Penola C207 E7 SAAS Penola
10:51:24 07-02-08   NG81 Cat2 23 Arthur St, Penola C207 E7 SAAS Nangwarry
10:51:39 07-02-08   PN81 STILL NO RESPONSE FROM CREWS SAAS Penola
11:05:35 07-02-08   PN81 CAN WE GET ATLEAST 1 PERSON PLEASE SAAS Penola

Was there a reason why Nangwarry was not paged at the same time?
I know Penola does not have many crew anymore so would it not make more sense to page Nangwarry at the same time or does that only happen if Cat 1?

It was about 11:10 when an ambulance got to the scene Just wondering about the big gaps between things happening

from my understanding, the vols still have crewing rosters.... im guessing it showed them as having a crew available, otherwise they probly would have responded NG81 initially?

Well I was just asking, it seems to get asked a lot about various CFS/MFS response times and who was/should have been responded I figured it was okay to ask the same question about SAAS :?

Just wondering whether it was hiccup in system like we get sometimes with wrong unit being responded even though already said no crew available

it happens sometimes the volly stations have Restriction E on the roster which is no crew rostered page anyway there does need to be a slight time delay so that they can get a crew to respond how ever its not usually very long on a cat 2.

we are sometimes no crew page anyway and it upsets other volly crews who get called off when we get a crew and we get annoyed when crews do it to us but if a crew has a long drive they will wait a minute to see if there is a crew in the area so they dont have to drive all that way.

also our pagers tend to be a bit faulty as both my partner nad i have saas pagers we have noticed that sometimes well alot of the time only one will go off so its either a roster issue or paging issue
