Makes you wonder where all the money goes! Been checking the Emergency services out at my future home & its mostly fund raising, corporate sponsorship & grants - No ESL! And in one case you (or maybe your squad) pay for all of your PPE, uniforms etc So just like the good old days here :-D Can't wait!
So questions should be asked!
1) Why are there so many QA problems?
2) Why can't several manufacturers get it right?
3) Are they really the right vehicles for all of the tasks we expect them to do?
Is cost cutting costing us (the tax payer) more?
Anyway good luck with it, I'm sure the answers will be swiftly coming :-D
cheers
Ken

There is no consistence with in CFS and its about filtered time there was, with all the problems with appliances and with the lack of replacement stock/parts on the shelf time CFS looked at a better solution rather than use a band aid.....

Yes maybe they should have at least kept them under cover somewhere. I remember seeing one at the show and it looked terrible.

There's someone who knows what's going on?  That's quite impressive...

I'd suggest he wasn't at a CFSVBA meeting if that was the case...

that appliance that was at the show was a reject. the amount of kids that wanted to go and have a look inside on the crew deck or even inside was incredible - and the amount of tears we got when we said it wasnt safe for them to go up there

Thats really good for PR.

The fire truck is unsafe for you to climb on, but we are meant to respond to emergencies with it.

Three big cheers for CFS.

hey it was big and it looked good and the reason for not letting kids climb on was we didn't want to be responsible if they hurt them selves.

Yes i do think that kids should be able to climb on fire trucks :-D

Has anyone heard anything about the new new 34ps (ie 07/08) or the new 34s yet?

Have seen 1 of the new 34's floating around, looks very similar to a 34P in design except for the rescue locker on the passengers side. Lets hope Varley can do a much better job with this years trucks.  :|

Being that late maybe they are making sure all the bugs are ironed out before they produce a whole fleet of them.  That would be the logical thing anyway.

I wonder if anyone who has seen them can comment on the trial versions bill mentions? Or a long lens could do the trick? :-D
