Hmmmm, possibly wrong..... AWB Media Realease dated 9th August, states:-
"AWB has raised its forecast wheat pool returns for the 2010/11 season by up to $44 a tonne, as the world wheat market responds to increasing concerns about drought-induced supply shortages in Russia, Kazakhstan and northern Europe, along with the Russian government banning wheat exports for several months...."

CBOT (Chicargo Board of Trade) wheat futures spot went from approx $400 USD end of July, to currently $700 USD. This occurred when Russia stated it was not exporting this crop year.

currently there is at least 3 mill more in AUS than last year not 3 mil isn't much in the world scheme of things also it was only a few weeks ago that wheat APW was about $100 less than what it is now.
and as much as i like this stuff i'll shut up now :-D
