Again, been following the scanner and noticed, quite a lot that a Prospect crew goes under the call sign P182 but underneath SAAS Unit SL104

eg: 1925610 18:43:07 16-11-10 P182 CatC 4/50 Gladstone Av, Kilburn 93 Q15
SAAS Unit SL104

does anyone know why this is?

Probably because the pager was allocated to one callsign, and on the scanning page, tagged with that callsign.

Then the pager was allocated to another callsign, and whoever's scanning page you are looking at hasn't changed it yet....

P182, would be a spare/additional resource.

SL104 is a peak time coverage vehicle, Monday - Friday. They meet up with a crew, take their ambulance and respond to cases so the crew can try to get their meal break. But they retain their own call sign.
