Earthquake in Christchurch NZ 22nd Feb 2011

Just seen on news websites that a 6.3 earthquake has hit Christchurch New Zealand. 6.3 magnitude and multi-buildings and deaths being reported.

Some 65 people so far have lost their life's, CFA  and MFB are doing lots of pre planning with USAR and hazmat teams being paged to see who can go and who has a passport.Also calling for CFA volunteers  and staff who are certified structural engineering qualified

From the Federal Govt Media Conference about 30 mins ago - NSW USAR in the first push, probably SA and Qld in the follow up (maybe later tonight). Keep your heads down boys and girls

Nine SA USAR people leaving for Christchurch on 4th March.
