Patient Transports (Vic)
« on: July 22, 2012, 03:58:44 PM »

Hi All,
AMT now RFDS will carry the wording 'Mobile Patient Care' on their vehicles and it seem that road staff will be $4000.00 pa better off due to the RDFS being a charity!
MTS now called G4S has won the Royal Melbourne contract from NPT and lost the Bayside contract to NPT.
New CPG's for NEPT due out shortly from DHS.
NEPT contractor crews being trained up to possibly act as 1st responders in the country.
That about is for the moment.

Regards
Kelly

This previous informtion was presented as interest only.

G4S, better known as the security company you employ for your worldwide major sporting event when you have a large army to pick up the pieces afterwards when they can't achieve what they said they could....lessons for that in the Vic NEPT market I'm sure.

Hi Mr Teddy,

You of course quite correct re G4 considering the balls up in the Uk for Olympics. Mind you they are not that hot here in Australia either. It appears they have more money (from Europe) that they have actual staff members with brains considering everytime they tender something stuffs up in security and dare we mention the very fact that long standing employees are decamping to other patient transport services.

Boys and Girls,

Try doing a bit of homework on G4 also known as Falck in Europe.

If I were an ambulance provider I would err on the side of caution. Big multinational, years of experience and very deep pockets.

Cheers from Blackfoot

Hi Flame Tree's,

Good question, not sure about the answer. Serco rings bells as they are everywhere in hospitality but then again Spotless may have intregrated them. We will have to wait and see if anyone else out there has an answer.
