I understand that the website is linked to the home computer setup. When a user wishes to use the broadband link at home, the website feed is disconnected. As well as normal technical problems linking a scanner to computer to website to internet.

Please give the guy a break for providing us something for free which would have cost him (in time, equipment, etc) to setup.

Maybe we could chip in some $$ or expertise or time to help increase and stabilise the facility.

Sam, I've thanked you before, and I thank you again for providing the feed. Please, don't take anything I've posted as a complaint. I really do appreciate what you're doing.

Yeah No One Was Having A Go They Were Just Informing The User That The Link Was Down, & I Asked What Was Happening, As I Work In It, I Might Be Able To Help, That Was All.  Yeah A Paypal Would Be A Good Idea, Even If We All Just Chipped In A Little To Help With On Going DSL Prices & Setup.

Hi All,

I have determined the problem with the PC. I have PDW now running on a PC with windows 98. I have been getting very good quality with this. The network portion of the comuter has a few errors as it stops communicating with the internet, still works internally though. I have changed the card and i am now trying some other drivers. I have a celeron 800 that i am going to setup sometime on the weekend for this. The site used to run completely of my webserver at home, but now it FTP's to internodes server. I may host it from internally but with only 256k up broadband and my audio stream running the 200kb pager file becomes huge!

Anyway i will post you with progress, and thankyou all for your support.

Sam

Hi Guys and Girls,

Just at a point in time where i am looking at running a filter file on the Online pager feed. I was deciding between the following;

1. Current all addresses
2. CFS / MFS / SES
3. All filters from SA Scan Group Listing
4. Cropped list of filters

Also for option 2 & 3 names would need to be removed to keep it sort of private  :-D

Thanks From Sam
P.S. Any replies helpful

Thanks Sam for the Tags yesterday - made the skim read allot easier - the only problem they have disappeared this morning

Hope to see them back on their again soon :-o. It nice to be able to skim read and having who they are going to makes that even easier :-D

I tried the id file out to see what people though. I am getting a few mixed opinions from people about tags versus no tags? I am thinking of trying to get another one going as well but it could take a little bit of time yet.

Cant please all the people all the time (unfortunately)
Personally, i like the idea. If I dont want to know, then i just ignore the yellow bits! (although it is a bit hard when they are BRIGHT yellow  )
