There were five 90 minute time slots yesterday, each allowing 32 to be tested (four groups of eight ). I heard somewhere around 20-25 either no showed or failed. Not sure how accurate that number is. I imagine invitations to interview will be out in the next 24 hours or so. It's not uncommon for most workplaces to ask for an interview with only a  few days notice. I'm sure everyone that progresses will find the time to getting their interview. They probably already know who the interview pool is they just need to pass the PAT1

For those that have been through the interview process before what is to be expected? I know it wont be like any other interview as usually the candidate can be asking as many questions as the interviewer. Being that in this case no one being interviewed will have direct experience I assume they wont be asking any direct questions relating to experience you have in the field.

Do they only put scenarios forward? What are some examples of the questions?

SA Gov't policy is 3 days notice minimum.

Maybe the 3 weeks  notice about when interviews would take place  when you first applied counts?

Tuesday beep tester here,
No interview email either. Not stressing as they most likely notified only applicants who are interviewing on Monday, as they did with the beep tests

Good Morning all,

For everyone who was successful after more than one attempt with aptitude testing or for those of you who have used practice aptitude tests before.
What ones did you use, do you feel like they helped you overall and has anyone had any interaction with Fire Service Recruitment (Brent Clayton) and did you feel it was beneficial?

My email didn't specifically say that I was unsuccessful however I find it unlikely that so many people will fail the beep test and I will get pushed forward as I have no accurate way of determining who else is in the same situation as me so I'm already looking ahead to next year and I'll continue doing the free maths courses and aptitude tests that I've found with the hope that I'll improve.

Cheers,

I received an invitation to interview today for late next week. I did my beep test on Wednesday. Maybe they are interviewing everybody who completed level 9.6?

I am not a member of any of the targeted groups...I am male, middle-class and a cracker to boot.  I am sure there is some logic driving the interview timings but it seems indifferent to PAT1 appointment times.

Yeah there really is not much point trying to work out the method to the madness. Whatever will happen will happen when it's meant to.

What days are they actually interviewing? Tuesday - Friday? There were two interview panels last intake. I wonder if they will stick with that or have one panel for more consistency.

Just received an email saying I've been placed into an interview pool to be interviewed at a later date.
