Hey Jack23 I'm assuming you've had a uniform fitting etc? Have you heard anything since?

They've probably been busy notifying successful applicants. Squad starts last week of Feb.

I'd also think they wouldn't want to give feedback that could potentially be used to inform candidates currently being interviewed now.

Are people still being interviewed? The people who were recently interviewed, was that for the second squad or was that to see if there were people more suited for the first squad? Wonder if they are going to interview anymore people or this is it? Fingers crossed they interview some more.

Haven't heard that either.

You appear to have a massive issue with HR beater. I am understanding more and more why you can't get past the personality profiling.

Has anyone who interviewed this year received any news on PAT2 for the next squad?

I sat the abilities and personality profiling last year... I have finally recieved an email confirming I wont be progressing further, although Id already assumed this. It stated that I achieved competency in the abilities test but due to my psych exam I am deemed ineligible to reapply for three years. Does anyone know if this is standard to have to wait three years before applying? Congrats to everyone that has been successful

Yep got the same, although was interesting to read the 3 years bit as I don't remember them stating anywhere prior to applying that results will make you void of reapplying for said time period.

I also got a letter a few days ago, but no mention of a 3 year wait to reapply.... See below:

Thank you for you attendance at the Personality Profiling and Abilities Assessment as part of
your application for the position of Firefighter with the South Australian Metropolitan Fire
Service.

The MFS received a very large number of applications so your patience has been appreciated.

The purpose of the Profiling and Abilities Assessment is to the assess applicant’s suitability for
the role in terms of traits and characteristics, compared with those associated with successful
performance in the role of Firefighter.

Unfortunately in this instance, your application will not advance to the next stage because other
applicant’s results more closely match the job requirements.

As understood by you by way of signing a declaration, the MFS and SAFESELECT will not
provide additional information regarding this stage of the process.
Once again, thank you for both your interest and the effort you have made in this process.

Heard from a couple choccos at my unit that the 3 year "ban" is because they believe you have been untruthful and tried to manipulate the test. It's a big call, but HR seem to think they can do whatever they want. I would make a complaint.

Thanks for the info guys. It was my first time applying, but Id never heard of a 3 year wait before applying again. Thats pretty ridiculous if its handed to people that they think manipulated the test, I dont understand what I possibly did to make it look like that.

May be an army thing then, maybe we are use to military political correctness and gave a too politically correct expression.
