How big a dill did our Captain feel after inadvertantly sending out three "more crew" messages while scrolling through the alpha unit.
The stop call from SOC - member at station hit wrong button.

Oh well, I've set off the GRN emergency button more than once :-)

Does the CFS brigade get a donation for providing fire cover for McLeod Daughters shooting ? Or is it publicity of the truck and uniforms being on the show ?

I know that McLaren Flat CFS brigade provided fire cover to Girl Guides 'Douglas Scrub' camping facility during major events. But I do not think money was exchanged, just one volunteer helping another volunteer.

But filming is an expensive business.

Just curious

I was there at the McLoeds Daughters shoot with Concordia, my first official time out with CFS. :-)

We wont get any publicicty as we were just there for fire cover but the CFS will get $400 from it.

saw the girls, only saw Michala Banas (Kate) when she went in for lunch, but Jodie and Steveie and JAde were acting.  (as a male I am entitled to watch the girls :-P)

Oh, and the food was great!  Especially the chcocolate pudding :-D

they will have fun doing paperwork tonight then, one of the stunt girls tore a quadricep when the quadbike (funny coincidence, quadbike, quadricep) fell on her.  They couldnt get the bike to roll for about 5 times and she managed to easily get out of the way even tohugh it stayed on its rear in the air, but when it was manually tipped it fell on her.  the had to get the nurse out there and cut open her trousers and put a badage on her leg.  When going back to the scene after lunch one of the lackies in the ute said she had torn a quadricep.

Which CFS appliance was used in one of the shoots (think it was named Gungellan)??  They made up a whole new side for the truck to look like the proper lockers etc and it was slightly burnt (good special effects - not). The Brigade ended up putting the made up side on ebay, don't think it sold tho.

When at Two Wells for flooding the "Gungellan" appliance was running around delivering sandbags, i believe the truck is woolsheds/wasleys but just for convenience they keep it badged Gungellan all the time!!

Ha ha ha  - I believe it belongs to a brigade near the site of filminf (well with 50km) and that it is used very occasionally and when it is the production team pay to have the old name taken off, Gungellan added and then the brigade name put back on!

Regardless - great PR for CFS - would just be nice if those advising had more say :-)

Sorry off the topic, now back to it - pleased to see that SHQ used the GRN paging to remind people of the deliver of their lunch orders - I'm serios too, I thinks thats very constructive
