Mount Rescue Fire
« on: January 30, 2005, 10:49:06 PM »
It's all been a little quiet news wise on the Mount Rescue fire which I believe started Wednesday 26th and appears to have flared up and breached containment lines today (Sunday). It has certainly been using a fair degree of resources from IMT and support personnel to on ground firies.
Let's hope it's knocked on the head for good Monday.

We where paged Saturady arvo to send crew to mann units(14) type but the job was canceled at 1900hrs no one knows why. Today at around 5pm the fire broke its containment line and so  briagdes near the fire where paged to help.

today light rain is falling so one would hope that this may help, however we also have strong winds from the NW and the NW sector of this fire was where all the problems area. The out look is getting hotter wheather wise and so I would say if they dont get alot of rain we will be back up there soon.I shall put my hand up if needed and take some more pictures.
