Yes I was there, it was a good night with about 200 people in attendance. From memory we had the following appliances scattered around the Morphett Vale Fire Station;

Morphett Vale 24, 24P, 14
Happy Valley 24P, 34, 14
Seaford 24P
Blewitt Springs 24
Kangarilla 34
McLaren Flat Lighting Trailer
Blackwood CAFS
Norton Summit 34P
Basket Range 14
Mt Barker Pumper
Eden Hills Pumper
Aldinga Beach Rescue
Numerous Command Vehicles

Sturt SES Rescue trucks x 2
Sturt SES USAR and Pump trailers
Noarlunga SES Heavy Rescue
Noarlunga SES USAR trailer

St John Noarlunga First Aid Unit

Forestry SA Fireking
Forestry SA Dozer (complete with snow plow)
Forestry SA Flat top truck

Dept Env Heritage 14
Dept Env Heritage Cleland 24
Dept Env Heritage Remote Area Trailer

MFS Christie Downs 431
MFS O'Halloran Hill 421
MFS Woodville 249
MFS Adelaide 2014 (Hazmat / CBR vehicle)
MFS District Officer

We also had representatives from

Mercury Fire
Chubb Fire
Fire and Rescue Australia (FARA)
Emergency and Safety Systems (ESS)

The Blackwood CAFS crew also gave us a demonstration of their pump on a car fire.

It was a good night with many positive comments coming back to me, there is already talk of holding it on a Sunday afternoon next year and maybe going somewhere with a bit more space so we can fit a few more trucks in.

We've got a couple of pics on the 'Latest News' section of the Morphett Vale CFS website - http://mvcfs.asn.au

I was there also, very impressed with the quantity of equipment put together in one location for display.  Obviously a lot or organising went into this event - well done by all involved.

Fantasitic oportunity for us part time firey's to get up close and personal with all this equipment that you usually only hear about or read about.

Next time though, an afternoon session - for longer than a couple of hours - and a bit more notice.  Maybe could take on more of a open field day approach, so that members of public can come along and see what is involved in these services.

My understanding is that is was primarily a "Mawson Group" equipment night.  So that would include Blewitt Springs, Happy Valley, Seaford, Morphett Vale, Kangarilla and Maclaren Flat. I am guessing that the other brigades etc involved were asked along to provide demonstrations and displays as part of the intended purpose of the evening. Morphett Vale station happens to also be the Mawson Group base. :-D
