From the Eligibility pdf from the WPFG Website..

"Agencies and Classifications Specifically Excluded:
Military Police and Fire Departments (non-civilian)
Volunteer Fire Departments *
Private Business Fire Departments"

So it seems that since we're from a volunteer fire service we wont be able to compete in the WPFG :(

The only reason i could see is to try and limit numbers...

you would probaly end up with heaps more people if vollie departments were allowed to compete.

Seems confusing to me when they are using American terms.

I thought CFS and SES did became a 'eligible agency' and thus being '..be a sworn member of an eligible agency...' (from http://www.2007wpfg.com/theGames/eligibility.cfm) you could compete.

My suggestion would be to call the Adelaide Office on 08 8375 9734, as per detail in http://www.2007wpfg.com/contacts/contacts.cfm

The people who staff this office also ran the last 'SA Police & Fire Games'.

Let us know how you go... would be good to see some SA people receiving the medals
