Muscleandpluck, how long have you been in the MFS?
We need the CFS & the CFS need us. Don't forget we do get CFS to cover our quarters when large incidents are going E.G Burnside at station 20 & Dalkeith to Elizabeth & Tea Tree Gully to Golden Grove...........
Also we are not allowed to take the trucks off road, this is where the CFS are great assistance.
So don't give the MFS a bad reputation & the CFS disrespect, we are both a fire/emergency service

Just a few questions, now i'm not in a bad mood or picking on any one, just curious! :lol:

How come Lyndoch responded both their appliances when only one was paged, especially when Concordia CFS & Gawler MFS were already on scene, a bit of over kill in personnel for a single MVA. I'm sure Lyndoch were aware 359 & Concordia were on scene? What is the response protocol in the CFS?

Secondly, is a page on nearly every movement really necessary?

Try Kapunda, they seem to struggle to get crews, Gawler 359 have been responding to calls in Kapunda due to lack of crews, although that seems to of died down a bit

Not exactly, they were responding to the vehicle fire but weren't required so they were responded to the shed fire but had a delayed response because they were on the highway heading towards Hewett. Hewett is on the opposite side of Gawler to Gawler South  :-)

If you are an experienced driver that has driven over a number of years, you will have done things or gone places you look back on and say, "maybe wouldnt try that again". For my part, standing him down, making him an example blah blah is just typical organisational reactionary bullshite. So he screwed up - we all do, put the video on the a driver training package along with footage of him cleaning the cab out and everyone can have a laugh at him and move on. Its not the biggest filtered up that will happen this year

Yeah, you're right. Nothing wrong with risking the lives of other members or the public or damaging an appliance when it could/should of been avoided. Yeah lets have a laugh Its not his truck who cares. Nah nothing wrong with that, In fact, i might drive 205 under some bridges i know it wont fit under & see if i'll get through then have a laugh when i put an appliance out of commision :roll: :evil:

There was an incident on channel 7 news tonight about the number of large trees falling onto roads, especially in the Hazlewood Park area. At the incident they mentioned how the council aren't taking it serious. They mentioned how the council turned up & cut it down, but funny thing is it was actually the MFS & SES that did the cutting & removal, before the council even got there. Why do they get so confused into which agency is which!
