These brigades know then have rescue gear on them and so does comms.....do they really need to broadcast it across the radios?

you can run your own pdw setup quite easily rather then rely on others.
all you need is a cheap scanner, audio cable and the pdw software.

For me its gonna be a quiet one apart from spending easter saturday night in the middle of Borderline Speedway track providing fire cover for the Easter Sprintcars along with other firies from the Gambier Group cause our supervisor is one of the Gambier Deputies

Well you shouldnt have to ask someone to take their picture as such - try asking thousands of people at the MCG if you can include them in your photo
But yes to publish it then you should need their permission, as you said blue if it is obvious who that person is.

Might as well put a sign at the airports saying tourists not welcome.
I can understand a ban in toilets etc possibly even swimming pools but not in the general public.
For the few bad apples there may be its not worth killing everyone elses rights.

Firefighters are still attempting to contain this fire.
Firefighters have undertaken asset protection in the vicinity of Wattle Street and Oratava Avenue.
CFS is about to commence a backburn in the vicinity of Wattle Street. This backburn is expected to generate a significant amount of smoke.
Currently the Strathalbyn Road is closed between Cave Avenue and Stock Road.
This will shortly be extended from the Cave Avenue end back to the Mount Barker Road turn off. This traffic will be diverted back onto the Freeway.
All roads to the south of Osterley Street (into the back of the reserve) hae been closed.
At the Stock Road end of the fire alternative routes are Longwood Road and Leslie Creek Road.

According to the map its fairly steep terrain?
My bet is they are responding these crews just incase asset protection is needed. But not being there i wouldnt know.

Seems to be a decent fire going just south of Bridgewater. Not familiar with the area but according to the map it looks like impacting on the south side of bridgewater.

Maybe they should ban smoking in public as well. (this has happened in melbourne somewhere i think?)
