Consider that Gawler MFS (24/7 station) did less calls last year than some CFS stations i wouldnt think call rate would come into it.
Considering Stirling are doing 300ish? calls that really isnt a big warrant for a paid crew sitting there 24/7.
Umm... I dont think its on until next weekend....Good point. Its been a long year so far.
ok going off track but anyway.I think the point Camo is trying to make is they (a retained station) wouldnt get out any quicker than a CFS brigade. I think Mt Barker do an excellent job of looking after the town. Why change to a similar system if it costs more?
A Retained station will never take over a volunteer station. Why?
There is no improvement in service.
If MFS ever take over Barker it will be 24/7. Now back to the stations.
Made a slight mistake not 7 months, more like 11 now.Have 1 in our brigade that has been waiting nearly 7 months.
Chase it up, thats B/S !
Always funny to see that photo of Barker station with a Red truck in the bay!!Some would say get used to it. But not for a while yet i think.
Ended up finding a small fire apparently, with lots of smoke. Salisbury CFS got a couple of runs to domestics shortly after, the old EMA in action. But maybe should have been called to the 2nd alarm as well? Seeing as they are only about a K and a half from the hospital?

Well at a mva the other night one of our members was complaining about the heat of structure helmets and all we were doing was sweeping up spillage.Tell him to harden the (insert word here) up.
Is this a typo or is there a spare 24P floating around? Is it Seafords?Early sunday morning typo?

The new funding for brigades will start with the new budget year so some brigades will be happy and other wont.... It basically works like this the more calls you do the more money you get,the number of appliances you have and other activates you do..... Wont to know more I would say get along to your next group meeting....coming to a fire station near youThats a bit odd Bill cause we heard we'd actually be getting less in our budget next year (Even though we've been busier this year). That to me sounded like the funding had already been set at a fixed rate.
Well i actauly have no clue where seaford is so my directions were very generic for anywhere south of Adelaide. You dont get out much then do you?
Have done: Answer is it's coming...Have 1 in our brigade that has been waiting nearly 7 months.

we're on 49 i think, a pretty regular year for us.Make you wonder though, your brigade does 50 odd calls per year but your neigbours do 300+. But i suppose you are in a relativly quiet area.
yeah from my brigades point of view i cant fathom attending 400 calls a year.
The new bus must not be in action yet, as it was the old one at the ICA fireThe solid gold hand rails have'nt come in yet
Negative - quite the opposite
Is it just me or does every one have this similar pattern of nothing much in 07?
we are about the same as last year 43 so far...last year we finished on 52..Better get those mets down there to start calling you more.
