yeah but if we're not careful we'll make DEH too scared to do any burns then SA will end up like states like Victoria.  I do think DEH seem to be relying far too much on aircraft though.

CFS:*CFSRES: BOMBERS 582/585, BD500 AND WOODSIDE FUEL TANKER RESPOND GRASS FIRE, DEEP CREEK, 217 DEGREES, 92 KMS FROM WAB 2/04/2012 1:45:58 PM - CFS R1 HQ Response

Anything with other emerg means there is another emergency service in attendance at the scene, ie SAPOL

Have to admit though that the Uni guys probably would like to turn it OFF with the amount of paging they are getting since SACAD came in.

Thanks for the compliments on the photos guys :-)

At a Major Incident such as this one, MEDIA were required to attend at the Media Staging Area in front of where 2090 was located.

This was outside the exclusion zone, and with the help of some good lenses got some great shots from that position.

Thanks to MFS Commander Mick Smith for affording us the time for interviews during the course of fire-fighting operations.

A great effort by MFS/CFS to get this under control.

I was at the end of the street and could feel the heat there so after that 205 was lowered so they could get him out. Ambulance came in and picked him up but thankfully not serious.
so you would have been one of the hundreds of rubberneckers turned out to photograph the event and just talk to their mates from the scene; all the while blocking roads and getting in the responding services way?..... as per usual.

When there was an explosion a large ball of flame created that much radiant heat he got burns to the hands while up there. I was at the end of the street and could feel the heat there so after that 205 was lowered so they could get him out. Ambulance came in and picked him up but thankfully not serious.

reedy creek, tilley swamp, the vehicle replacement program is a shambles, there are brigades out there getting their 2nd 34P, yet there are brigades like mine still trying to fit our rcr gear on our 24P and continually trying to add extra space for it, we train weekly with 20-30 members, never fail to get out the door in a timely manner, and yet we keep getting looked over when all brigades as busy or even a little quieter had theirs replaced ages ago..

We keep getting told of the risk we cover but we are asked to cover it in an appliance that is literally falling to bits, the plumbing needs to be fixed up, it need a refurb basically and once again CFS dont want to know about it

Cmon CFS  lift your game, Your an absolute joke at the moment.

Attention all, get some balls and slap a Hazard Notice on it if it's that bad

They can't sack you for it, and it will only come to the fore if an accident happens as a result, too many things swept under the carpet :-D

Two Jewish men walk into the Collingwood membership office and ask to buy season tickets.

The lady behind the counter asks, "Are you circumcised?"

The Jews reply "Yes, of course!"
The lady then says,

"I'm sorry gentlemen, but you have to be a complete filtered to be a Collingwood member.

They were lucky they made it through :-o, years ago when at the Langhorne Creek floods, as a passenger on Mt Lofty Training Centre 24 we weren't as lucky water got sucked into the air intake and stalled the truck, which then rolled over as the road collapsed under us. Anyone who saw the Burnside video can see it.

These guys were lucky they didn't lose the whole crew, very stupid.
