Title: is summer over???

we where paged for a chimney fire yestreday at 1600hrs in summer????? Yep on arrivel smoke filled house crew where able to see the problem was a blocked chimney. I am sure its still summer but hard to tell with only temp of 17 that day.

i agree bill.
summer seems to have gone away, this is the third day of rain weve had (with hail as well yesterday)... every seems to have there combustion heaters going as well.... a bit odd considering its just the start of february

35 on Sunday though, Just a glitch for a few days!

yep we have had 27mm of rain strong winds and fixed alarm calls so it must be winter. But the heat will be back next week and will not take long for the grass and scrub to dry off again.

I agree Bill, unfortunately i believe this will give the general public a complacent feeling about the Fire Season.....and that will possibly lead to a state of un-prepardeness if there is a Large fire.

I think late Feb, early to mid March we will see what is normally typical in the Jan - Feb months..
