well i guess thats true to a degree. Only one person made the program, but there was countless people using it to vote:D
Im just happy adelaide got top spot. If it was done normally, adelaide would barely get a spot on the table.

SA Firefighter General / Leaving School for calls
« on: June 09, 2007, 12:53:04 AM »
it was possible under community studies, but that subject was such a bludge, you could do almost anything to pass it.

With the new sace thats coming in for students, it will be possible for additional sace points.

now, as its been mentioned, back to the amusing messages:)

SA Firefighter General / Leaving School for calls

slack. just do more homework!

Nah i agree, school time is vital. Personally, i find uni a bit more relaxed and less pressured than school, and the layout is a bit different for making up missed work so its a bit easier to attend a call from uni.

Country Fire Service / Re: Brigade induction

I had to run through the truck bay naked and then sweep the gutters out.... i thought that was pretty much standard though?:S

haha nah, ive just finished my lot of training and basically, it comes down to you finishing your training, getting signed off, then your name going up at the brigade meeting with a yes/no acceptance.

I would presume some brigades would have different processes after that, but thats pretty much a standard start i would imagine

Im studying at UniSA in my first year bachelor of education specialising in primary and middle. its taking up a fair amount of my time, but the lecturers have no hassle with me leaving.
Also have the occassional job here and there with bosses being a bit picky, so now i try to work from home with a website business. At least that way, the only one who can have a go at me for not working is...well...me?

Im still deciding as to whether i should inform someone of the truth behind the results, but it would make SA look bad so i might just zip my trap...

Forum Suggestions / Re: Chat rooms
« on: May 31, 2007, 07:28:36 PM »
if you want someone to take charge, i can set one up. IRC takes about 30seconds to register a channel. Its more stable and popular than msn, and is also easier and well, more sensible to have a central chat room than a msn convo with a few here and there:)

Cheers for the firefrog.

This is going to raise a dead thread but hey, its valid.

There is a small program, quite popular amongst a lot of internet savvy people. Its bassicaly called IRC. Internet Relay Client. Quite handy for hosting chats, can set permissions (admin, mods) etc and it uses bugger all system resources. You can get free hosted channels, with no advertising.

Might be an idea for people to look into? Id be more than glad to set you lads up with something if you deem it worthy.

Fire Stations and SES Units / Re: Biggest Station?

I would put forward a vote for salisbury. Has the capability of holding numerous trucks in the bay, plus more in the sheds to the rear of the station.
