Dont know why they wouldnt trust them, most of the time you get more accurate info from a SOC page than a generic page from MFS. Could mean valuable time wasted relaying the details.

Not sure if this is the right thread but can anyone tell me when SOC recieve a call for a CFS brigade why do they pass it off to MFS to do the dispatch instead of responding the appropriate brigade themselves? Im sure there is a logical answer but i thought if they got the call they would automatically respond the brigade?
ps wasnt in soc busy that day either.

My brigade / group was fitted last year...
Had 3 different dates to be fitted last year all were cancelled by Lion. Not sure of the reason for this but it would have made life easier now if they went ahead.

All we have been told is that lion will be coming out to do fittings. But as to when who knows, they suggested that all the PBI gear would be issued by june?(was that this year?) I think they had better get a move on cause its already feb and we all know how long things take to happen.

not sure when or who.. but ill put it this way... if you were getting one im sure your brigade would know.
Ok thanks but have heard the appliance replacement program is always subject to change. Saw a few new appliances at Moores recently assigned to brigades who never got them.

Can anyone tell me how many hoses you can get on the new 34 model trucks comming out this year? The photos show that there is not much locker space. Can you put stuff in other places? Also whats with the new tools eg: shovels etc?
we have added a 64mm hose to our stowage, taken out the supplied layflat and added 5 x 25mm canvas lines.

Just for info the old Eden Pumper is sitting at NE Isuzu. We asked if we could keep our old 34 while we got used to the new one and were told flat out "no".

Why do they need the old appliance there while they train and test it? When we got our new 34 we lost the old one the same night after only about an hours training. :?

Saw on the pager site that Selicks activated their siren, thought they might be getting a crew together? You would think your group would go before Mawson anyway? Below for info weather @ parafield airport At 1530 Hrs, a lovely 42 degrees.
