For those that have done the personality and profiling tests before, how food is recommended to be brought with for lunch are bags allowed in or are people allowed back to there vehicles?

I dont recall having a lunch break. Is it scheduled on your letter??

Well it states "bring your own bottled water and a snack"

That is ridiculous.

Interesting to see PAT1 not being held until late Janurary. If they are expecting so many to apply like rumoured, would have thought they would want people that are fit now instead of giving people 2 months to get fit.

They can't use the existing GRN or VHF's as the Vic & SA radio systems aren't compatible.

Pip

We had big issues with this at the Eden Valley fire with the NSW crews. Had to end up communicating via general UHF channels.

Recently I came across the Holmatro Vehicle Extrication Techniques guide available for iPad on the App Store which appears easy to use.  Plus Holmatro have a rescue game also for download which is good to have a bit of a play around on.

Although it could be possible the MFS could recruit later in the year they usually update the website advising they are recruiting in the near future a month or two before hand so unless they update it over the next couple of weeks it would make sense they update the website in September for applications in January/ February, as that's what they have previously done anyway.
