So what are they going to do with the dennis??? ...
I think vincent will be getting his rear kicked for what he has said and may be it is about time that marker did call for back up and use what is in your group..Last time I looked your rescue was a type two pumper so what is your problem........
It's a hard thing...I agree if you only take a handful from each group but also factor in the unavailability of others due to harvest, holidays etc...you could easily leave yourself short staffed and then when they return they are too tired to be avail for a couple of days as well...
It's been hard/easy for us in Region 6 as we are so far away...and we probably get grace for the hard time during Black tuesday...saying that though, we did send a strike team to Waikerie a couple of weeks ago..
I've personally been on strike teams but am not that keen this season...not yet anyway...
PS it's RAINING here today...yes RAINING>...can't remember the last time it RAINED!!
Our Brigade did the same thing. We also had other community organisations who regularly do traffic control join in. Now everyone is singing off the same page. Still haven't seen the certs from SAPOL yet
It didn't handle like a car......
Nah, the person who made the final decision would get the "black spot" , treasure island styleWe are all supposed to be a part of the TEAM
Be that as it may, somehow I think that if this decision were ever made it would end in a mutiny.
I think the word you're looking for there is actually homicide, not mutiny
We are all supposed to be a part of the TEAM
and how do we know its SAAS?
you should be careful laying blame without actual evidence me thinks...
hey... as i haven't been in the CFS that long i haven't been able to pick up why the CFS and the SES don't get along??
can someone please enlighten me
A word of advice, just disreagard all information on this web site regarding SES, CFS, SAAS and SAPOL. And go out there and form your own opinions, dont listen to any of the crap most people spout.
hey... as i haven't been in the CFS that long i haven't been able to pick up why the CFS and the SES don't get along??

jeez louise, thats not very good any pics?
Any issue that upsets someone needs to be 'checked out' and the volunteer with the issue assisted. How else do we keep trained volunteers within SES or CFS.
SAFECOM Volunteer Management Services have setup 'Volunteer Harassment Contact Officers' around the state from both services.
Calling the 1300 364 587 will give you a CONFIDENTIAL referral to another trained volunteer.
The volunteer you talk to will not be part of your original brigade or unit. Everything is confidential while they assist in the problem.
This service is available to all CFS & SES volunteers.
PS: Ill be back in one piece, a cheeta tried to eat me, but apparently us Aussies dont taste very good
Talking to a mate.....
Apparently one of the main reasons females not partaking is due to hygiene..... I can see the reasoning....
Your my hero seems your a fulltime firefighter
What do people think about this checklist???
Am I fit to attend this incident?
The I’M SAFE
CHECKLIST
M – Medication – Am I under the effect of any medication?
If you’re NOT fit to go,
It’s OK to say “NO”!
I would hope that some of the people ARE under the effect of their medication...otherwise, for many, there is no point in taking their medication, if it doesn't control whatever it is they are taking their medication for.
And before anyone starts saying those people shouldn't be on the fireground, there are many people who take medication for a diagnosed condition, which is appropriately dealt with by medication, and as a result, are able to work safely on the fireground........
You don't necessarily know those people take medication, because it doesn't pose a problem for them, or others!!
