Well hello all, just a quick note to let you guys know a bit about me.
I am not yet a firefighter, i live too far from a CFS station to be considered an active member, i am currently trying to gain employment with the MFS. Sitting in a holding pattern as we speak, just not too confident in getting a spot before my time runs out in January.
Self employed tradie, married with three kids. Just need a way to get away from the rug rats....
Well thats me in a nut shell, look forward to chatting with you all over time...
Regards
Gasman

If you live nearer to a SES Unit then you could still complete rescue training. SES accept volunteers who cannot be at the Unit within 10 mins because we complete alot of multi-taking incidents that require second trucks to respond.
Now that SES is a Registered Training Organisation, some of the skills will transfer.

As a full time firie, with 20+ years on shift, am curious to see what other "firies" think of the vollies opinions being expressed on these pages.
