Same has the old TV game show where they dared passerby's to do stunts.

I hope not, dont intend to go to Uni.  Doing diesel mechanics as a trade before going into MFS.  Hope to be in the MFS in about 5 or 6 years.

Thought bout diesel mech. apprenticaship(sp) through MFS Eng ?

Not sure if they offer it, but you would have the best of both worlds then.

I was thinking of going out to my grandad's farm down in keith and maybe working down in that area (naracoorte??) to do an apprenticeship then moving back here ad applying for MFS.  MFS is my main aim I will always apply and keep trying for that.  Having a trade helps for maybe a second job, as some fierys have and something to do out of school and in between applying and finally being posted into a station as an operational firefighter, heard it can sometimes take up to 5 years....  I have tried to get contact info for SAMFS engineering but cant seem to get it and I have now used up my 4 work placements for this year.

MUNDCFS, Im reading a book about the Australia SAS, they go through some hard donkey training and learn how to keep their emotions under control in extreme circumstances.

Or a nut...

Yea PF best bet is to ring them.

Look up SAMFS Eng. in the phone book (may be under MFS Workshop)  and ask them.

Grandad, grandma, uncle and pseudo auntie (Hawthorne's, you might knmow 'em.  Peter Hawthorner (uncle) does a lot of grain carting and contract reaping) live down there so not really a bg move, IM always down there.  COming down next week to do some work on my grandads farm.

What diesel mechanics are at Naracoorte?
