Only difference is that you must be certified within 12 months prior to application. Only reason for this is that it has been over 12 months since the last recruitment intake. Brings everyone back to an even playing field i guess. As for PAT 2 being a once only, where does it state that? i still read two attempts.

It dissapoints me to no end that there are people out there who are willing to give their time only to be told, "sorry come back next year".
Cant they just start you off in the training process to make things easier for next year. Even if they just start you off on the bare basics to get you close to being operational.
At SES we take people when ever we can get them, train them up, when a basic rescue course becomes available, slot them in and send them out to taskings once fully trained to the minimum level required. Might take six months before they get to be operational but if they are still there you know they are keen.

At this stage i will say a definite maybe...
All depends on wether the family is willing to put up with my moods and also if my business can cope with being ignored for several months in the hope of getting a job.
What about you you wicky? 8-)

Turning forty this september, i think the family has had enough of the whole process.
Problem i have is my life gets put on hold for months, my business suffers and i get very frustrated. Just wish i had the right answers for them at the interview stage.
At least i have a minimum of twelve months to figure it out.

Have no idea where  i went wrong, no idea when next recruitment will be, have no idea how many are being taken this year. Starting to wonder if after five years of trying is it really worth the trouble? :|
