Ridiculous! There was nothing in that video that portrayed the service in a poor light. Who told you to remove it?

RIP freedom of speech  :x just ridiculous, what will be next?, banning the media from turning up at calls and making sure the CFS are not shown or reported on :-P

Well that sucks....
I thought it was great to be able to analyse my techniques....

Great way of showing off what we do in the community too...

Why did you have to remove it???

ordered by project mamanger for ba, cos one of the ta claimed i never spoke to him re posting on youtube which was crap every one that had a photo that could be identafied was spoken to. also apparently the trainees in the video were not following correct prcedures (there fore making CFS look  unprofessional) hello it is a training course your ment to make mistakes!!

personally i think this is crap but to keep CFS happy i have removed the video.

i think it comes down to (as writen about on other forums) some one has stuffed up and posted crap they should not have so the cfs is stopping every posting images/photos

i have had a lot of great response to this video to the point that i made another video for my stations open day with all the different jobs that we have been to eg mve house fires trees down, lots of different thing and linked it in to recuitment once again every one that has seen it has liked it and i have been requseted not to post it due to all this bulls#@% about what we can and cant post,

personally I beleave this is the best way to get the the message out to the public that yes we are the COUNTRY FIRE SERVICE but we do a lot more the just grass fires.

this is all my views only and in no way reflects anyone elses views

You do.... they are just new staff which are part of a shared facility...but CFS do have dedicated staff.

The team in the CFS Media Unit are gone bar one, and if we are to boost the numbers of CFS volunteers it needs to be promoted in a manner to encourage active recruitment.... and ive said it before we are not mushrooms :-P

SAFECOM shared services!!! well the service standard starts with S anyway.
Our own Volunteer magazine has it gone to a yearly journal, must have missed that that email.
When is that next state election? or even a reshuffle might do it.

Notice when you hear the news on the radio a spokesman from Emergency Services says ....so now we are NO NAME :-P

But they are now going to encourage OIC of incidents to be available to make statements to the media, sounds great to me . Will only take one unhappy camper to vent their spleen about the short comings of the appliances on the fireground and the apparent lack of desire by our organisation to fix issues ,or we would of had the fire contained to a single room ,but none of our new CABA operators have been issued with PBI yet so defensive firefighting was the order of the day.
Bet this initiative wont last long!

WHAT!   and to only think in years gone by that it was a very regularly released magazine...its fallen into the cravase known as safecom.

It beats the Advertiser in article quailty...and it beats reading the budget for the next year....The magazine itself is a great tool for state-wide service awareness....

Blimey.

I think the best option would be a government reshuffle, because i doubt liberal could do any better right now with the current leader.

i think jaff was mentioning not wearing having pbi for internal firefighting. (which PBi is needed for)

Numbers my quickwitted but disturbed friend, my quote had the key word "new" in it thereby implying that they were not CABA qualified previously and that their current level 1 PPE wasn't up to structural standard!!
Now personaly I'd send em in, in budgie smugglers and chainsaw chaps ,with negative pressure sets on, but I'm old school :-D

PBI ain't necessary for nothin'! As long as you're wearing something that conforms to AS 4967(int):2002, you're all good (Hello Nomex!)

Oh touche! Mr.(or Mrs.) Jaff you certainly have me there.

As long as those are AS 4967:2002 compliant buggie smugglers and the chaps have the backside cut out of them, I am a fan of your improved SOP's.

Grab a Proto and start sucking!

A very becoming look!
However you didn't mention footwear, high heals perhaps? that meet the standard of course :-D
And some of your people would need to "tone up" prior to your first public appearance. Otherwise good luck with it I'm sure you will get noticed!
cheers

Chook when do you leave ?, it cant be too soon, everyone knows that high heels are a turned ankle hazard when worn with chainsaw chaps, read your SOPs, besides the two styles clash!! :-D

Ahh but he can be the NSW country contact for this forum... anyway, I am sure you could make the high heels & chaps the same colour so they do not clash... depends on which yellow uniform colour you use though           (just joking)
