Title: Map of Mt Osmond Fire
Post by: CFS_Firey on March 10, 2005, 10:37:32 AM
I was looking at the map of the Wangary fire here: http://www.cfs.org.au/about/pdf/WangaryFire_13012005_media_topo.pdf
And I started wondering if anyone knows of a similar map of the mount osmond fire... It would be interesting to see the spread of brigades here, and compare it to over there...
I know we have many more resources close by here, but it would be nice to see it graphically...
Cheers

For those of you that don't get Volunteer, there is a map of the Mount Osmond Fire in there... It’s not what I was asking for, but it’s damn clear what an insignificant fire it was compared to the Wangary fire...
The Latest Volunteer can be found in PDF format here...(its about 2.56MB)

(Maps on pages 18 and 19)

Might be insignificant, but you super impose the map of the Wangary fire over the same area at Mt Osmond and you get a real fright!! It was a good job from the crews that they contained the fire at Mt Osmond, those people that laugh at region 1 brigades for sending so many appliances can't laugh now!
