East Torrens, Lofty(I Think), Sturt..just about all, I am from East Torrens group and I am on the list but near the bottom. I would like to go but this would be the first major fire and the terrain is not at all flat, I did a burn off in clealand and that terrain was difficult and I got tired quickly, not sure how Id cope.

seemed to be more than a fair share of truck mechanical failures on this deployment, compared to others in the past.

Less reliable trucks or less preventative maintenance being done?

Seem to all come from the 1 group, I guess it depends who does their work, most other agencies have their own mechanics workshop, might be time to look at that.

And a heartfelt thank you for coming, I was proud to see trucks from my former service working alongside of those of my current one. Thanks also to those who remained behind to provide cover in SA, often overlooked it is a vital part of the overall effort.

I wish you all a Safe and Happy New Year and hope that we won't have to call on you again and you won't have to call on us!!!! :-D
