Who knows? Ring them and ask them? Might be the easier way, rather than asking a bunch on siren chasing volunteers on the internet!

The Volvo's are going to Burra and Kapunda. Their Isuzu MUP's are going to Salisbury and St Mary's as Pump/Rescue's.

Haha, there is one glaring difference, Jerry Seinfield was terribly unfunny. I'm sure he is trying to impress 'hawt chix' of course. Who else is there? Oh... oh no...

Yes Darren, that may well be the case, BUT! What will happen to Glyndes spare once they get a new one? Will it got to Angle park, or maybe back into Adelaide to run as 2011? I just cannot understand why the would leave such old spare appliances on the run still...

Goddamnit 206! Is this what you do all day? You just sit around in the engine bay doing nothing in particular and asking stupid questions. Maybe you would know more if you actually got out of the station and did some hard work, rather than sitting back with all of your 'Special' Hazmat/BA equipment.

I'm ashamed to be parked next to you.  :x

Hazmat206 is proud of his ability to make the samfs public relations fail. :-P

He is also a Grade A Loser and if found out to be treating others like this would most probaly end up cleaning Trucks for the rest of his career or just being sent to Angle park to fill out papers...

ahh the possibilies for a bitter loser with no life... both public, private, and we all know he doesn't know how to talk to females... only his bank account...

Gee I love the conversations on this site, they dont at all contribute to this site be labelled as a cespool. Why cant this site take a leaf out of cfa streams book and have some moderators who inforce some mature rules and filter out the crappy imature content.

I hope the MFS and the CFS have the capability and motivation to shut this site dowm, or mabye the administrator can see that this site, gives nothing back to society and close it down!
Title: Re: Oakden
Post by: jaff on October 02, 2008, 12:41:08 AM
Hazmzat 206, I'am sure that some of your posts were reactionary, to what you feel may have been digs at the MFS by "seemingly" just volunteers and by the looks of your edit, captured by numbers 7:31pm post, you perhaps had cause for a rethink. Hopefully you get the chance to work in with the CFS and you will come to realise that, they may not be paid, but they are for the most part professional in their attitude and action, granted some are oxygen thiefs, but you get that in ANY organisation.
As for your comment on "fighting a grass fire in the sticks", sign youself up for a campaign deployment, as many of your MFS coleagues have, you may change your mind on the simple grass fire notion, if not bring marshmellows, their part of the standard stowage on CFS appliances   :-D.
Lastly remember that when you post you have NO idea who you are having a go at, taking the piiss, no problem, personal attacks, problem, so play nice  :-)

Nicely said Jaff & you didn't use "filtered" once! :-D
Firemansam - threads like this tend to make your points valid, however there has been some very good threads on this site & a lot of people (including myself) have gained a better understanding of the other services. Therefore I think you solution is a little drastic!
And as the majority of individuals who post on this site are adults, don't you think they are mature enough to moderate themselfs? Oh filtered I've used mature again! :-D
cheers

As far as i am aware and have lived opposite the station; they have had two appliances since  about late 2000 or possibly a bit later. At least whenever i drive past (everyday) there are two trucks (unless they are on a job.)

If you are talking about oakden, they were a one appliance station for a while (they had the 303 skyjet). The other appliance of their's was at beulah park (pumper). Only recently had it resumed to a 2 appliance station.

if you ever visited the cfs promotions website, oakden had 2 appliances then when it went to beulah park, it was listed as 1 truck (303).
now that beulah park is running, oakden got their pumper back, glyndes pumper went to beulah park and glynde have a spare :-)

6739264, why would it go to angle park? it should go up to tanunda(f70 volvo) or murray bridge(1997 scania). why don't glynde just keep theirs and give beulah park a spare?? makes a bit more sense but then again.....

Oh snap! You got me there. I did hear that the new Bronto is heading straight to Elizabeth, along with the new Volvo Pump, so that the busiest station can have the brand new trucks.
the new bronto is not going to elizabeth they got there new 339 and they are sure 2 be keeping 331
