Would this explain why i havn't heard any thing about the BA course i was meant to do this weekend?Mate i'd do some quick checking tomorrow cause they at least should have informed you it was cancelled.
There was talk recently that the driver training courses were going to soak up a lot of resources (read 'money').Thats ok at least they'll know how to drive to a call, they just wont know what to do when they get there.
Apparently originally unbudgeted, but I only heard that fifth hand off someone I don't know.

the rumour is that the 30 MFS responded brigades will be moving to SACAD in a months time and I find it difficult to understand how SACAD is going to fix the problems when there has been little or no consultation in terms of areas and things like who we think would be the closest appliance at certain times of the day.Where did you come across this info? Are'nt the MFS still going to be doing the CRD? If it is the case then i would suggest the MFS have done the deciding for you.

Correct you have to justify having 4/6/8 sets, not just because the truck can carry them. But this is getting off thread. I like the idea of the rear facing under-tray lockers.. Better utilization of available space.What is the standard issue of BA to BA brigades with the new 34? 2 or 4 sets?
I believe BA sets are based on SFEC's not appliance type...
So pay CFS for all responses into SAMFS area.Thats an interesting thought. I've often thought that if the MFS utilize CFS in their area it's really free labour in a way. Have often been to grass fires in MFS area where we are the last to leave even though its their area.
