CFS doing change of quarters to another cfs station? Why?

For the simple reason that there was no RCR coverage between Mt Pleasant, Athelstone, Murray Bridge, Strath & Blackwood, due to 3 x rescue brigades being tied up a crash at Oakbank

I'm surprised at how neat the door removal is, looks as if there weren't any doors on the ute in the first place.
But, what a terrible crash, that is a huge impact. I hope they pull through. I assume they were retrieved to the RAH?
Good work to all involved, looks like that was a good response by all involved!

Yes I was surprised to actually see a good initial response, normally you see a more crew, then a group RCR response then eventually you might see another rescue sent.
Out of interest who was there first, looks like a Mt Barker member in the picture?

Looks like a normal door removal. Not sure about the B Pillar in the air ( just remove it). But sometimes you just need to get the person out quick.
If you do the training, it normally works well.

What are you trying to say Zippy...Barker has a good run to Oakbank and often arrives first for rescue in that area, for many years it has been an area of debate as to who should go.

Yes not sure about the b pillar in the air either but on another website it looks like it may be the trim only?? But once again why not spend the extra minute removing it.. but i wasnt there so there is probably a good reason for it to be like that:) still good job to all involved

Haha that’s funny trust me Barker Rescue doesn’t go that fast. Standard issue turnout for us zippy, we had to stop for a few red lights along the way as well. As pumprescue said, we are not that faraway (13k drive) it’s actually about halfway between Lobethal and Barker.

a. The driver’s side B pillar was not cut high as it was impinging on the
Patients head, in this case it was suitable to lift it straight up and cover it.
b. Paramedics wanted the patient out quickly. :-)

Just remember, there is no standard way to do a rescue. Often the rescues that take the longest are due to people trying to follow the "book" too much.
