It is based down there all the time and used for contract jobs outside fire season as is the others here which stay at Parafield Airport

True a lot of brigades are doing that,ours included but dont agree with letting drivers who have just come off their "L" plates driving a truck that they are not fully familiar with its handling,and power characteristics jumping straight into doing Priority 1's,something that needs to be gradually introduced for the safety of all on board

The reason SES/CFS get these calls is because a standard tow fee callout is $250.00 plus running kms depot to depot.After being told that on the phone its no wonder we get called to help because its free

Good morning Blinky...correct CFA have had their share of MVA's in appliances and this is a good way to educate CFS drivers of the responsibilities that go with Priority 1 driving in an appilance.
CFA have had two fatals in the last 12 months and its not a good image on the news for anyone.
