The Car solely uses Compressed Air to run the engine when speed is below 60kmph. Fuel added to mix to generate more power and air. Think its the best idea ive heard in a long long time!
1 tank of air + 30 Litres of Fuel = 1350km Range.

there's an Australian one too

at this stage it seems Di Pietro is concentrating on mining & industrial
applications, but my crystal ball says it's only a matter of time.
Would be interesting to see which would win the technology war - another
VHS vs Beta battle in years to come.
The idea of being able to travel long distances at a fraction of today's
fuel costs is very appealing.

will never happen....the oil tycoons will buy the ideas out like they have the past. Im suprised the hybrid cars are now on the road, probaly would of been alot sooner hadnt they interfered!

I think that one was a hoax.
In any event, the French company that invented the compressed air motor sold/licensed
production to Tata (the largest Indian vehicle builder - they are HUGE!). Tata will
have production lines operating in Asia, the USA Europe & possibly Sth America by
2010.
The compressed-air car is either on the road already in several markets or nearly so.
The inventors made very sure that Big Energy *didn't* get an opportunity to block it.
Compressed air vehicles are far more eco-friendly than electric - no incredibly toxic
chemical battery, which uses more energy to build & transport & decommission than a
Hummer would consume in that battery's life-time. (This might also be an internet factoid, but the numbers looked right to me).
cheers
