Emergency Vehicles / Re: New 24 prototype
« on: November 09, 2011, 02:52:25 PM »
what I'm inapplying is everyone get a new truck then start up date again eg the  brand new last fts750 to go to whoop whoop brigade in region 6 then region 1 din dong brigade gets an fts800 and there truck go's to action to pay for the next new fts800 truck for joe blow brigade in region 3. the trucks would have a higher resale with less K's on them . and if your truck is stuffed after 10yr with only 20 to 30,000 on the clock i would be wondering if a you guys need to start looking at taking it to a new service place to get it seen to or your crews need to start looking after things better then what they have been doing

So what your saying is just keep quite and be happy because it's new.....this is why we never progress, to many just happy because it's new and shiny!!

yes a new 24 would be good a bit of mod it could work better then what they have drew up so far.... no im saying just be grateful you guys have / getting the newer truck there's quite a lot of stations with older trucks that need up grading so in other word if your station is running an isuzu FTS750 or a hino pro ranger 8z  you don't need an isuzu FTS800 to replace them. early to mid 90's depending on k's and age yes up grade them

sounds like a job for a dozen D12s not a dozen trucks with 2000l each...just saying

CFS is sending only QRV/QAV due to the sand conditions for the STRZELECKI and simpson  desert coz of some of trucks got boged in the sand and and then needing to get skull draged out of there by the dozes.

This was also on channel 10 news. It was an absolute disgrace the firefighters in the back ground with dirty uniforms on. Looked like they had not washed them from last fire season and had been just shoved in a box somewhere

not every thing has to be 100% ....sides they got to look like they been doing work :-P

what would be more idel is for the to rear passagers ( window sides ) to have control of the side monators coz of a better view of the fire at hand and the oic to have control of the front monator but with switches to take control if need.. And make up to water and heat resistant camaers top and bottem  of the monator so the crew dont have to have there windows down to see the flames with out getting wet at the same time

thats my thourt any way

I have tried my best and succeeded to get 2 new members others have brought in another 6 in the last 2 years, why  :?, it the rural brigades that have the members on tap 24 / 7 because we work where we live.

gday ranger

i dont want to sound picky but the pastrol brigades have a very hard time in getting new members the brigade im in we only have 5 members including my self our next closes brigade has 4 members and not all the time they can get mobile . so any brigade that can get 3-5 new members a year and still responde a truck(s) to each call i take my hat off to you  :|

The beacons are usually taken off I thought, and thought they removed the CFS logos and stripes (or paint over them!).  Also someone from HQ (or the brigade) should go along and swipe back that GRN charger on the front seat of the Minlaton truck.

both trucks have been strip down now all makings have been painted over and light removed curramulka 34 still has one front flasher and thats it

1909195 16:48:18 09-11-09 RCR CREW REQUIRED CHANGE OF QUARTERS TO HAMLEY BRIDGE STATION. PLEASE ATTEND STATION IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE NOW. CAPTAIN CFS Salisbury Info

Just curious, if a 24 is required for a fire some distance away would it not be better if Hamley is just overlooked and another brigade from slightly further out sent, instead of them responding and leaving their area uncovered for RCR, and a COQ needed.
Would seem the sensible route surely, or get them a 2nd 24?

it would have made more sence to get dalkeith to do to COQ coz you have gawler 359 elizabeth 339 and 331 and virginia to cover dalkeith area for RCR  :|

yeah especially since MFS Metro was extremely thin on Fire coverage anyhow!   Angaston Group should have been able to provide COQ.

i was wating for it to come out on the pager's could have done with a road trip  :-P .but it dose seem silly that no COQ happen tho in cfs aspect  :|
