Stefan KIRKMOE

The  people in the "Big Red" fire trucks requested the P1 for SES after they had arrived........ as the building was about to collapse ...apparently.......... but  apparently  not once SES arrived..  Go Figure.....

You  will also find that it  was a direction from the Regional SES Commander to  respond P1 to the Search, who was on-site with the police forward commander........

They are quiet nicely set up inside to. Was happy with the amount of leg room in the back!.

Hmmm not if your 6,3 :-D

Waaaaaay to many buttons to play with for the siren/lights panel.
Do like the alert button which switches lights and siren on but to turn siren off you have to turn everything off and then choose one of many lights configurations. :-o

Mundcfs on the control panal if you hit the button  next to the  alert button think it's wail this turns the siren off but leaves all ligts going

We have responded to MVA  that our members have been at, but we have also responded the  fire service as well. I would also point out that this would have happened once or twice a year,  not 4 times within a month.

I think the point Mack in  making has been missed, I  have no problem  with  MFs dispatched both CFS and SES to  a tree in  a life threat position, the fact  that  Groups are self reponding is the issue here,,,

We are not the closet unit , but we still beat Stirling CFS by  15mins, we responded p3 to the job as police where on scene and it  was a ended road.....  cfs responded p2 aswell so i  would not have demand it life threat?

I have to agree with Mack we have been responded by MFS as single response, NO CFS, only to find the CFS in attendance or arrive shortly afterwards. I think it has happend 4 times in the past month that we have responded to in the mt lofty groups area.  Don’t know why you would self respond if a resource capable of doing the job has already been dispatched ?

Just my views

If only all units/brigades had such massive budgets to buy cool stuff like that instead of having to beg and scrape for ancient equipment to be replaced or fixed...

All this cool stuff, has been funded by grants from various government and commuity organisations..........   just hard work put in by our units management team  to get  them.

There is nothing stopping anyone from applying for them

"Is this because the SES CEO belongs to that unit"

Have only seen the CEO to one training night, we don't class him as a memeber anymor.

Thats all well and good but they are pretty useless with those couplings on them, what if water needs to be pumped a few kms like in murrey bridge and you need to use fire service hose and a combined SES and fire service relay.

Sturt's pump trailer has adapters to suit both MFS & CFS attachments..

You will find that P2 for SES means that there is no fire truck  going but still a lights and sirens job. P1 means a fire truck is responded too.
