Fantastic firefighter_sa! It seems the CFS isn't such a family affair as the EFS was :? :( it's a pity if you ask me...

Looks like a school visit to me!

Doesn't seem that long ago that we were able to pack 30 kindy kids aboard and go for a strap around time.

How times change quickly.

Pt Elliots first Fire Appliance. It's a little worse for wear now. Purchased in 1959 from ETSA at a cost of 200 pounds. It was fitted with a 500 gallon tank. It had a Rex pump with a Wisconsen motor The Blitz was built in 1942.

Not sure where you got your info but I dont believe the ACCO with the pump on the front served at Kadina. It was built as a prototype in the Lloyd Johns days. Then went to Millicent who had the successful tender for it. After serving there for quite a few years it went to Southend and then finally to Tanunda until it was pensioned off in 2000.

From info ive received it was the old Tanunda A24 and also served at Millicent.

Pip dug up the old number plate history and tracked its movements
The white Inter, with the front mounted PTO is ex Kadina CFS, and prior to that a few other brigades as well... (Previous number plate was VQX315, and before that was UWG739)

My info came from a number of sources, and appears this Inter went from southend, to Kadina (as well as being at Millicent & Tanunda at some stage)

The problem with tracking CFS appliances is that they change number plates, which often makes them hard to track!

But, having said that, I haven't had alot of the data verified myself, (although the people who gave me some of the data may have)...so I can't be absolutely guaranteed of accuracy....    :-D

Didnt realise that it served at Kadina. By my reckoning that appliance has had 3 different registration numbers over its life!

Correct.....

There is one appliance in service now that is onto its fourth different number plate.......   :-D

I reckon this might have been at Mt Barker, with an original plate of 265202

If that is the one, it appears to have been at Mt Barker from 1948, until around 1968 -1970, when it appears it went to Cambrai......

Has anyone else got some info about it?
