Ok if you're on facebook. Isn't there already a "discussion group" on facebook anyway?

I love how this thread has turned into another MFS v CFS debate. Anyway did anyone catch the news re the house fire at Nailsworth? Just a few MFS firies standing in quite heavy smoke, BA masks dangling around their necks, no helmets? Looks like you're your own worst enemy, but it doesnt matter cause if you get cancer you're covered hey?

Country Fire Service / Re: GOs/DGOs responding on every call
« on: May 21, 2013, 07:56:11 PM »
Must only be in certain groups? The group im in the group officers only come out if requested or as you eluded to confirmed structure etc where they are required. They still might monitor a call to see if there is anything in it. Maybe they're bored?

Have these been recently aquired by the brigade? I heard a brigade not so long ago put in a request to carry them on an appliance but was flatly refused through region and the strategic leadership group within the CFS. Just wondering.

Surprised no one has mentioned anything about the cheap TIC's on offer from PacFire at the moment.

I think a number of brigades and groups in Region One are grabbing them. There are Argus and the new Flir - K series available.

Prices are very good.

I believe our Group has four on order, should be here in the next couple of weeks I think.
Just wondering are all these region approved equipment and allowed as non standard stowage?

What. The. F##k?

Maybe because they had just completed a call, which they had. What the F**K should be why Elizabeth were responded when there are closer appliances??? SACAD at its best.

GOOD EVENING EVERYBODY, AS OF NOW DALKEITH OR VIRGINIA WILL BE RESPONDING ON OUR OWN TO INCIDENTS AT WOMMA & HEASLIP RDS.
REGION 2 IS WORKING WITH DPTI TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, FROM DALKEITH CAPTAIN 2/2 - CFS Dalkeith Info
Probably going to get rid of all the bark chips.

Funny, I suggested just that - get a drip torch, and burn it all, but then you have to wonder if the numpty lighting it would just find somewhere else that would get a way a whole lot easier.  At least these are contained by bitumen (in most cases).

MrT
One of the fires jumped the road and burnt out about 5 or so hectares not long ago.

Bit off the topic but ive noticed that there has been all but no media coverage of fires around the place lately. Like the fire near Monarto? Seems appliances have been attending in various forms since friday night but nothing on the news? Are these types of incidents not newsworthy because they arent closer to the city?

So tell me what it was that the difference is between the MFS and CFS again?

I can't fault your questioning, not the smartest thing ever written. I'm sure the appropriate pineapple was delivered - or is going to be.

I doubt whether any pineapples will be delivered. It is the CFS. Anyways are'nt at least 2 of the groupies there MFS officers??

Does that price include the land? I went past the site yesterday on the way to the Barossa and it seem quite a large parcel of land, thats if it is going to take up the whole site.

Theres a large roundabout there, also where it crosses the Northern Expressway. All the median strips are full of mulch from what i could see the other day when i passed through that way.
