I got a letter saying my application is not progressing today too. At the very least I can stop putting alternatives on hold now!

I wonder if the file name of the letter we received can give any indication as to how many different pools there are?

The file name for mine is PPA Pool (2) and its the "not invited at this stage though we strongly recommend you maintain a high level of fitness" letter.

Would be interesting to see what other people received?

Interesting point, mine can with file name as straight “PPA Pool”

Yes very interesting question, mine also says just PPA Pool

Cancel that thought. Mine had a (2) because it was the second PDF I had open on my computer. Mine is also just PPA Pool after checking. Apologies! - Technology isnt a strong point of mine!!

This is my 4th crack at this.
Time not on my side either - 42 years old! I believe the ceiling age limit is 45!

(Last time was 2015 - I did the beep test then went into the 'pool of 400,' I believe it was, but didn't get a call to the interview stage.)

 Got my letter -

'The results of the Assessments have now been analysed and we advise that you have not been invited to progress to the next stage (Physical Aptitude Test Stage 1 (PAT1 – Shuttle Run)) at this time.
Your application will remain on file for a period of 2 years should further participants be required to  be  called  forward  in  the  future.    In  the  meantime,  it  is  strongly  recommended  that  you maintain a high level of fitness.'

Gutted but will keep cracking away at it.
So it's a 'no' but sounds like a 'keep fit' that many others have referred to on here. Does it match what other 'keep fit' people received?

Anyway, going to keep at it until 1) I either get to old or 2) they let me in :-D :-D :-D

All the very best to those going through. I don't think there is a better career out there.

Cheers:-)

I got this letter too mate. It seems to be fairly common so I wouldn't think we are any form of a minority! Would be great to get an invite but I'm not getting too excited at this stage.

Is there a straight 'you have been unsuccessful letter' which does not mention keep your fitness up?

I received one saying "You have not been invited to progress at this time. We strongly recommend you maintain a high level of fitness"

This is my first time applying so if anyone can help me interpret this it would be awesome!
