A round of applause to Strikeathird our first member to post over one thousand times on safirefighter.com...
From a very humble start to a busy site in just over a year. Well done to all who contribute to this site and the Fire and Rescue Community generally.
Keep up the chatter it always makes for interesting reading.

I've noticed a few times now Euan Ferguson referred to as CEO not "chief officer", is there a difference? or has the CFS just decided to go all "corporate"?
PS. striker where's that quote in your sig come from?

CEO is the top of the agency and a title for all business, CO is more of an operational rank - I believe Euan Ferguson holds both titles - as did Stuart Ellis :-)

Quote is from Ladder 49..
