Did my Level 3 there years ago had a running fuel fire in a makeshift creek in the middle of their yard and got absolutely black as.

Yeah EPA Stepped In, They Can No Longer Do That.

Thats Just Pathetic, I Mean If That Was Me Involved In That Accident I Would Be Looking To Fine Out Why It Took Rescue Crews So Long To Be Responded, Considering The Travel Distance Required I Would Expect Rescue To Be Responded Straight Away.

If It Was Somewhere Local Like The City Where Ambos Get Heaps Of Calls & Call Us When Needed Then I Could See It But For Something Like That I Think Is Just Wrong & There Should Be Someone Investigating What Happened.

This Is Something I Have Always Though Was A Strange One For The Public Cause We Say Its Contained & They Are Like Yay Its All Good, Then When We Say It Has Broken Containment Lines It Makes Us Look Bad.

The Pubic Need To Know What It Means Or Even When Media Reports Are Released A Brief Info About What Contained Means.

i just got some Chevrons given to me, for my service, and have got them put on my CFS polo, it looks quite impressive. Our Captain wants to keep the tradition up, and i think it is good.

Agreed Sigh, I Want To See A Photo Now Though.

Same As The New Mini's They Also Are In The Boot, We Had One Which We Isolated, Then Closed The Boot.  The Back Of The Car Was Against The Tree So It Was Hard To Get There To Start With, Anyway We Closed The Boot & Could Not Re-Open It As Its An Electric Open.  Would Have Liked To Get Photos Of The Batt Compartment But Couldnt Get Back In.

I know that your G.O. likes to be in control of EVERYTHING in that group but he has to let go a bit, why risk someone getting injured wearing non Australian Standard approved PPE when you've got the stuff sitting in a store room in a station.

Well I Guess You Know Where I Am From.  I Have Already Had 2x Structure Fires In Nothing But Proban Cause Thats All I Have.  Nothing Major But We Have Been Told That We Can't Have Nomex, But Can't Have Our PBI Yet Either.

I Will Just Keep Fighting The Fires & Wait And See What Happens.  Overall I Am Not That Concerned Cause If I Think Something Is Risky Enough That I Need The New PBI I Won't Put Myself In That Suitation.

I Believe The CFS Do Get A Discount Hence Why It Takes 3 Weeks For A Standard Police Check When You Join.

They Can Be Done Quicker But Because They Process The Other Requests First CFS Dont Mind Waiting If Its Cheaper.

For forcible entry, the New York Fire Department use  - a force axe and a forged Probar. Rescue One test their guys by giving them a door with five locks - a two man team have to force open the door in 30 seconds. These guys are serious and don't like to fail. It is acheivable using team work and a set procedure.

You Should Check Out Last Men Out, Its About The Rescue 2 Fire House.

Maybe Thats Her Nick Name But It Should Not Be Displayed To The Public Like That As It Promotes A Bad Image.  I Would Actually Like To See That The Shirt Is Not Worn In Public.

Last I Heard Was That PBI Shouldn't Have Been Issued As They Have Still Not Worked Out The Cleaning Process.  This Came From Group Who Were Advised By SHQ.  I Believe There Are Only 2 Groups That Have Not Given Out PBI.

We Have Had It Before Where The Pages Have Gone Off Saying More Information (About The Job) & We Were Like What The Cause We Were Never Called To A Job.  Turns Out The Inital Page Was Sent But They Forgot To Include Us In The Paging Group Even Though We Were In The Message.  Confirmed This By Checking The Pager Site After The Job.  It Was Lucky For The More Info Page Otherwise We Wouldn't Have Known.

They Weren't Running Cyclinders, They Were Just The Suits With The Side Zip Left Open For Air, Unless He Did It Up All The Way It Shouldn't Have Happened.  I Was There All Nights & Didn't Hear Anything About It.
