Stirling, Aldgate, Bradbury, Burnside and Lofty operations support responded to a Hazmat on STOCK RD, MYLOR earlier this evening...

a brief sitrep of the job was that it was a small chemical spill that when contacted with grass caused a grass fire, the chemical has solidified and there are believed to have been no chemical tags found on scene.

Adelaide 206 was responded to Stirling station to undertake chemical testing on samples.

Are you sure Zippy?  That sounded like a different hazmat to the one I was listing to at Mylor....

chemical product in a container (believed to be a 20lt) has fallen off the back of a vehicle by the look of it... bounced once and smashed open, due to the chemical contents of it the drum has melted to the surface of the road alng with the road surface having partially melted too... once the runoff reached the grass on the side of the road it started to burn.... As the drum had melted there was nil ID of the product, pH testing was neutral, Micro5 PID showed nothing untoward re product, a few samples were taken (chipped off the roadway) and taken to stirling where 206 came up with the Hazmat ID and the product was tested, I believe the outcome was Formaldahyde as the product.... interesting job...

Hmmm sounds different yet again.... Maybe there were three different jobs in Mylor last night?

Glad to see the response was correct
