Hi wayne,
Are either of those yours ?
-
where are those trucks based?
-
I seen one of those SAMFS trucks when i went to Old Tailem Town a couple years ago :-D
-
I havent been there for years, wanna go back.
-
PF instead of going to Old Tailem Town why not go to Sovereign Hill in Ballart as i went there in year 12 on a field trip and seen one of those horse drawn fire carts that they used in the gold mining days based in the recreated fire station :-D

1970 C1300 International Pump Escape Appliance
-
International Acco Fleet 132
-
We still have our horse drawn fire cart with all the equipment on it still as well as the very old CABA set.

I think the first picture is a Pacesetter appliance use in the 1970. It was seen as a bit radical as it had a Front mounted Darley PTO pump (you can see it under the bumper) and rear mounted engine. Apparently they went like the clappers!

Correct,It was a Chubb Pacesetter and they did fly, however you will find one at Roxby now painted yellow and i think the other one has been robbed for parts
