It seems crazy that the MFS and CFS boarders have not really changed in the last 20 years but yet our urban areas keep on increasing in numbers.I heard about a government document called the Dawson Report which suggests alot of trade offs between both services?

So from what i am reading it is safe to say that if every employer allowed cfs members to leave work to attend fire service calls then the community would have better standards of fire cover.

The new Skyjet has a new cab but the stick has been recycled from an old appliance. The Mercedes chassis flexes a fare bit and has had to be re engineered to get it to work properly.

If you want some info on 204,i can tell you that it was decked out by MFS engineering. The frame was made by Moore Engineering.A guy called Richard at MFS manufactured and welded the locker floors in it,set up the wheel arches and panelled parts of it.Then it was sent back to Moores to be finished.By the way 3m aint no good...

The chances of a younger person getting burned are higher than of someone who has years of experience. We got to blend them slowly into the system. But of course humans all make mistakes.

The mets get travel allowence when they move from one station to another. Are we not all under the same government?
I work for both fire services and i reckon things will need to change to entice more numbers to the CFS.

I did not mean in the sense of members being paid for what they do, just to cover expenses. ie the rising cost of petrol.

What do CFS volunteers think about recieving an allowance from the state government to cover fuel costs attending training and fire calls?
