All Equipment discussion / Re: New 34P
« on: June 08, 2007, 12:45:05 PM »
Ive heard along the grapevine there have been problems with delivery of fuel to the 34P pump's.  Not sure if its a isolated problem to a single truck (our intended one), or if its a common problem.

Wonder if Ceduna or Jamestown have had this problem yet?

solve all the MFA problems.....reduce the number of payphones......simple as that.

its not really complicated, just we use CFS resources to undertake jobs sent from SES. if it is from Alerts, generally CFS SHQ are involved therefore its a CFS job, its just a blured line to say the least lol...

may should get back on topic  :?

lobethal CFS are also SES too aren't they?

im sure the entire onkaparinga group have Dual SES memberships available. gives us the ability to respond as individual brigades to SES incidents instead of queueing up the incidents as one large brigade.  But generally we work together on any major incident anyway.

Happens at Yankalilla and Oakbank. They are combined SES/CFS stations.
Spoke to Yankalilla recently & they nominate SES training some nights and then CFS training other nights.
Depends on the local politics.

The SES members have there own lil training task to do every once in a while at oakbank...ive just joined the SES team there, doin my basic rescue sumtime soon....

dont forget i think SAAS are on in it as well....

So  MFS/CFS/SES/SAAS in one big building...i reckon they could fit in a 3 x 2truck bay station...and probably on the Land that SAAS already occupy...

Probably just Retained...probably not enough callouts for 24/7 or even a fulltime during the day.

The development near steamranger and st francis college seems to be huge...some multistorie retail stores down there....might warrant further pumper...or hence MFS with 2 pumpers...

« on: May 17, 2007, 08:36:37 AM »
middle aged man was rescued from the house, thanks to the dog  :-)

Appliance response was more like 3rd alarm, as water pressure wouldnt go too well up there...nearest SA water pumping station is in woodside.   Would be another story if this happened at mt torrens...
