not sure where u interpreted that from Camo...

a shopping centre would be an A or B risk, depending on the potential risk to life.... im not sure exactly how the system works...

but a C risk would be a domestic dwelling or a shed type structure.

A's would be your hospitals, and high rise apartment type buildings

we always carry ration packs year round on both trucks.

they include some small snacks, and also a 'hot pack' in each bag... one per crew member.... we also have the fridges full of water bottles and powerade permanently on the trucks as well as cooler bags for each truck that we grab from the fridge before leaving.... ya never know when that command car full of drinks is finally gonna make its way around to ya ;)

I will eat my words if I ever see this:

MFS: RESPOND ASSIST CFS 12/12/06 1900,at structure fire blah blah Road YAHL , MAP 0 0 0 at request of CFS GO. DAILY INC. NO. 69,701*CFSRES:

ya might not get the mount turning out to CFS area... but i know for a fact that an MFS skyjet (or was it the bronto... hmmm) attended the Blackwood Coldstore fire at CFS request, well after initial calls... there have also been various other times in history when MFS have supplied 'specialist' appliances to CFS.

latest rumor i heard was dennis to go to a "less busy metro station" and barker to run a pumprescue, 24P and 24....

so the same truck that houses rescue gear would be frontrunning pump

i dont see how the CFS would be at fault bill unless they did something strange like send cars over an unfinished bridge...

what happens if i crash my car while taking a road works detour? can i blame the council....?

SA Firefighter General / Re: New Green Uniforms
« on: December 12, 2006, 06:52:22 PM »
there not fireproof, nor are they intended to be on the fireground.

there are "three uniforms"

-firefighting PPE; this is either your proban, nomex, PBI or whatever, and used by operational vollies at incidents undertaking firefighter roles...

-"green fuglies"; this is operational uniform for staff or vollies undertaking ops and planning roles, or fire investigation or what have you...

-Khaki "dress" uniform; for day to day use by staff or and use by any member for special occasions, celebrations, presentations, etc...

does that clear anything up for those out of it?

IMO the green stuff looks dreadful... but at the same time it is differant from any other services, and designed to be practical not pretty.
