Why would you be taking an urban pumper to a strike team?  Thats what 34 is for.

SAMFS / MFS pagers
« on: October 27, 2006, 08:23:48 PM »
When a station such as Elizabeth is run off of pagers just wondering do the ELizabeth fireys have personal pagers they take home or are there a set kept at the station for the fireys to have when on duty.  Its pretty pointless having a pager at home and it would give you the buggeries going off on your day off.  Anyone who can answer this?

Just heard on news flash that Euan Ferguson has needed high level police to guard him in court as he recieved death threats from family of those killed in Eyere Peninsula fires.

I dont get changed usually before attending the station as a must do but if I have time or if Ive been exercising Ill chuck on a CFS t shirt, usually I wear my Fire and Recue shirts anyway during the day so 70% of the time IM wearing CFS gear already.

Good bit of PR for the fire service too.  We always learn as kids that firefighters/police officers are there to help if you need it.

No what?

By expired and not being able to do a refresher does that mean their 5 years is up or they havent blown off a cylinder in the timeframe you have to blow a cylinder in.  Couple of months isnt it?

IN the US the firefighters wear shorts on underneath their PBI.  Always see pictures and video's of F/F's around the station in shorts and t-shirt.

Do the Retained MFS have to wear a uniform when on a job ie "Fire And Rescue" t shirts underneath tier PBI or is it just what you turn up to the station in?

Dont use white king as it will attack the proban,as for nomex my understanding is that proban is to be replaced with nomex for all rural jobs....

I heard that proban was for grassies/bushfires and PBI was for everything else, nomex is no longer to be supplied.

Thats what what was going round when PBI came out.
