Is R2 34 stored there? Does it run as Salisbury 34 in CAD when in station?? Other than that a glitch I'd say

Maybe the previous said reasons can be contributed to falling numbers close to Adelaide in the busy peri urban brigades and busier country brigades where people take more interest in the politics of the service. But I genuinely believe as you push further in to the country the decline is attributed to just that a decline in people in the community. Farms are getting bigger people are moving away from the land both retiring and the attraction of the mines. Unfortunately the volunteer agencies are the first to suffer!

Do ya get given a box of matches in some sort of induction pack?

Probably due to those particular groups/brigades having someone pull out at last minute! STC prob know nothing of it!

it is really quite genuinely sad as to the position the sevice is in. 14,000 VOLUNTEER members state wide can see we are getting jammed up the rear end but ONE minister cant see Past Nth Terrace!

Is there anything we as volunteers can do??

I reckon the pilots flying the air tractors would have plenty of experience anyway not including the days of continuous bombing at Wilmington and wilpena!

I agree use them but calling on the volunteers to man the strip to fill them maybe it's starting to abuse the volunteer...maybe DENR should have trained personnel to perform these duties when they are using the aircraft in a support role!
