around 5 groups worth of appliances, for a 20Ha fire..... rather strange  :-P

Camo - whats the go mate? it was only 185Ha but from my understanding was crowning in a young pine forest.... quite dangerous really... and huge risk to the townships of glencoe, compton, etc...

can someone please enlighten me :? :? :?

A word of advice, just disreagard all information on this web site regarding SES, CFS, SAAS and SAPOL. And go out there and form your own opinions, dont listen to any of the crap most people spout.

Can we please get back on the topic people  the fire that Tantanoola had today pulled out every resource you can think of this includes some of the private forestry companies mentioned as resources in this hypothetical

Its true cause Moreland Holdings had a fire tanker, Mcdonald logging  had a couple of vehicles helping out and GTFP was also there

why are you home posting robert? i would have thought you would be out at the burrungule fire on the 'doo 34?

Its only a hypothetical SA Firey not like its gonna happen

lol makes me think of exactly what just happened...

everyone is commtied to the bookmark fires, then a band of lightning goes through and completely screws chaffey group by starting around 10 grassfires...

made me laugh.

i dont think anything re going to NSW has actually be confirmed... looks like some groups are getting excited though.

1908960 07:54:24 01-12-06 ANYONE WISHING TO GO ON KYEEMA COMPOSITE STRIKE TEAM TO NSW LEAVING SUN FLYING RING ME ASAP BRADLEY

as i said, still not confirmed. just excited groups...

personally i dont see why 'we' are all so keen to go interstate.
if ppl are keen to go to NSW then why not the bookmark fires instead? or KI fires when they happen...

what is so good about interstate? just the crank factor?

around the mt gambier district the local brigades that dual respond with MFS will be paged by MFS comms at the same time a MFS....

no other responses for LSE are meant to be paged to CFS brigades by MFS in that area

Colocation can work but as the Strathalbyn situation showed politics eventually gets in the way

Co-location can work easily, its wangkers that get in the way (from both services), not politics.

Off topic but yes.
And I am not saying that region 1 has all the leaders...far from it.
Sometimes it is good to sit back and look what others do and how.
I am not saying that we should all be the same. The CFS is way to diverse
At the end of the day we all do a good job and I am just a FF trying to help others by things I try. Sometimes I win and other days well....
I stuff it up, but I am giving it a shot
PS - should you be heading to your station, just looking at the pager site

not saying all the cranks are bad, but a lot go way too far to the point of refusing advances the CFS are making, based on there own biased opinions. there areseveral groups out there and even individual brigades in some cases that make straneg decisions and occasionally try to go around the CFS to get what they want, whether it is required or not...
